I'm Sofia, 25 years old a native of Bacolod City, Philippines. I love the comforts of my home that's why I choose to work remotely there. I love to write and I have been working as a freelance writer for 4 years. Before that, I worked as a customer service representative for 3 years with 2 call center companies. From tech support, airline assistance to even sales, you name it. So when I eventually ended my contract working in a call center I ventured out into the work of Politics which merely ended a year because I have a quite sneaky boss where I realize I don't want to be involved with his endeavors. Lucky for me, my end with working in the Government opened up the gates of Virtual Assistance. My first Job was a Data Entry Professional where I did mostly transcribing crumpled and unreadable insurance forms in the US and it took me a year wasting paper because some part of my job was to rewrite them too and scan them. Then I saw a job posting for a Project Assistant role in a Market research company. It took me a month of comprehensive training and then there I was, managing 14 online survey projects, setting up team meetings and reviewing questionnaires making sure I don't miss a spot. Sadly, I had to leave and head back home because working in another city away from my family didn't work for me. So, I decided to just buy a laptop, a nice USB headset and install the fastest internet connection that I can get. I applied for not less than 10 jobs posting a day until I got hired and worked for almost a year as a Real Estate Virtual Assistant. I mostly do admin and cold calling. Sometimes I get tired but you know, the best part is my resting area is just 3 seconds away from my desk, I can wear my comfy clothes, I can keep the lights dim and stay relaxed then course, exhaustion is gone. I'm back on track.
