Logistics Coordinator
• Handle customers’ queries and concerns on import, export, and local shipments- including checking of possible clearances needed and/ or lead time in a timely manner • Responsible for monitoring of latest status and/or updates of shipments, shipment processes, truck allocation, and pick up/ delivery to clients • Coordinate with carriers for contracts, bookings, securing space, and submission of shipping instructions/documentation • Arrange booking and coordination of shipments from origin to destination • Checking of documents for discrepancies • Creation of relevant daily, monthly, and other reports of internal and external clients • Lodgment of Import Permits/ Single Administrative Document • Send import manifest to Bureau of Customs. • Request quotations from carriers, truckers, and other service providers/ vendors as needed/ required and prepare Client Offer Sheet/ Client Information Sheet • Check invoices from providers, system input of cost and charges incurred, and creation of Request for Payment to the management • Filing of AFR for Japan-bound shipments • Sending of pre-alerts • Training and guiding newly-hired employees joining the team to smoothly adapt to the process and workflow • Meet with clients to discuss new projects, rates, arrangements, and other requests • Perform other duties as may be assigned
