Hey there! My name is Ruth Capapas, I'm 31-year-old from Bataan, and for almost eight years now, I've been working in the BPO industry. It's been a challenging yet rewarding experience, and I'm grateful for all the opportunities that have come my way. I started my career in 2016 as a customer service representative for a top US TELCO account. As a CSR, I handled a variety of customer inquiries, such as billing issues, technical difficulties, and retention concerns. My role was critical in ensuring customer satisfaction, and I took pride in being able to help them with their concerns. After two years, I was promoted to a mentor position where I trained and coached new hires. It was a challenging yet fulfilling experience, and I loved being able to help my colleagues become effective customer service representatives. In 2019, I joined a different company that had the same account and started again as a customer service representative. In 2020, I was given the opportunity to join the sales team as an agent. My role involved selling products and services to customers, and I was able to develop my communication and persuasion skills. However, after a year, I realized that my true passion was in teaching and helping others grow. That's why, I decided to go back to being a mentor. In April 2022, I decided to explore a job that allowed me to work remotely. I started working as an answering service or virtual receptionist for small US companies. In this role, I was responsible for answering and making calls on behalf of the companies. Later, I was promoted to the position of dispatcher, where I was tasked with dispatching emergency calls to various establishments such as elevator companies, oil companies, nursing homes, rehab centers, and real estate establishments. It was a demanding role, but I found it fulfilling knowing that I was able to help connect people in need to the right services.
