Good day! My name is Karry C. Sumagit. Everyone can provide good customer service, but not all can be excellent in it. I spent six years in the BPO industry, both on banking and financial services. These years were crucial as they significantly contributed to who I am up to these days as a people person in terms of customer service. It was six years of continuous process shaping me to become natural and excellent in this area. I remember the words of my supervisor back then, that customer service should be as natural as a reflex. I worked hard to become that customer service specialis. Exposure to hundreds or thousands of clients on the phone and people I have contact with daily and the training the banks provided to enhance my interpersonal skills and deepen understanding and knowledge of product specifications helped significantly. Web-based training also trained me to be self-reliant and efficient. When you work for BPOs, you have to cope with its fast-paced environment, working with minimal supervision while providing outstanding results. Our performance on quality customer service were measured through clients' response to the automated surveys being sent out to random few we extended assistance and had interactions with. I got an average of 20 surveys each month, ending at a 90% - 95% customer satisfaction rating. I have excellent interpersonal skills, namely problem resolution and negotiation, teamwork, time management, and nonverbal communication. However, I will never know how to rate my verbal communication skills, but I can speak and write very well in English. The last time that I took the online test, it was 5, equivalent to excellent. We all have to know empathy; that is one soft skill every customer service provider must learn heartily to engage with all sorts of clients. While others settle to "as long as I can get rid of them" mindset, on the other hand, I extend the extra mile by providing alternate solutions, and not settling to just one and making sure that they feel being attended to. Not only can I provide quality customer service, but I am into arts too. I have a passion for the arts. I do simple layouts on Canva.
